Team England Romp to Race 3 Win

The headline says it all!

Another bad few weeks

Another few weeks of little chuzwoza action. However the competition is about to be reignited once more as the competitors resume hostilities. Team England are confident that their new impromptu elbow redesign will reap rewards in the coming months. The new design was unveiled this week, although it turns out the Aussie team have been using the a similar design for a few years.

Race 3 will now be held end of August, with Race 4 end of September.

Bad few weeks for Chuzwoza

The competitors have been hit with a series of setbacks over the past few weeks resulting in little chuzwoza activity. Between wacky elbow, piglet flu, and liquid poo neither competitor has been able to log any KMs for nearly 2 weeks.

The competition organisers have decided to adjust the chozwoza race schedule to take this into account.

Race 3 will now be held around 23/08

Race 4 (1/2 Marathon) will be held end of September

Actions Words Louder Speak Than!

Whilst the Aussies spew forth with blogiarrhea, Team England focus on a repeating their June performance. Even with a totally broken elbow, they set a new 10K PB of 37:55.4 taking them past the 250KM mark for the competition.

The broken elbow has since swollen up and is quite painful, but with a near 3 minute difference in the 10Km PBs, the English team are confident that they can be competitive with the Aussies using just one arm.

With 3 wickets falling in the morning session, looks like underarm bowling is all that is needed! :p

June Whitewash!

Well that was June, and what a month it was for Team England. Having taken out the 200Km milestone early in the month, they then focused on setting PB times for all distances. The Aussies put up a fight in the 500m and 1Km distances, but this resistance was crushed on the last day of the month when both Aussie PBs where smashed in a single session. The 6Km was a formality, taking the English points tally to 17 for the month. With Aussies not scoring, Team England have taken a commanding lead in the overall competition.

Cards on the table

Team England now have a time logged for each of the PB categories, and it is now up to the Aussies to respond. A new PB at 2Km was the latest time to be logged, surpassing the time set in the 2Km race held at the end of May. With Team England away (in England) for the next 10 days, and access to the necessary equipment problematic the Aussies have a great chance to catch up.

21 Again!

Probably the next excuse to be offered up by the Aussies will be the age difference between the two main protagonists. With Team England fielding a younger competitor it certainly seems that the tired old legs of the Australian is struggling to keep pace. However, as the Team England management have pointed out, the difference of 6 days between the two competitors would mean the Aussies have had nearly a whole week extra to train!

The answer is no!

After a week of Australian mischief on the chuzwoza blog, Team England have hit back in the only way that counts; by taking the overall lead in the competition by reaching the 200Km milestone some 45Km ahead of the beleaguered Aussies.

Is it all over?

With Team England nearly 40Km ahead in the rowing totals, and setting PB after PB at all race distances, the Aussies have responded with...... nothing... Is it all over so quickly? Team England are taking a three day break from training, in order to give the Aussies a chance to catch up, but can the Aussies respond, even with such a daunting task ahead. Time will tell..

Knee Injury brings Team England to a halt

This is the headline the Aussie team would like to read over their cornflakes tomorrow morning. If it were true, it would give them a glimmer of hope at winning Chuzwoza '09. Instead, tomorrows headline should read "Team England complete 1/2 marathon in 85:59.3" but the editors have decided to hold this headline back in fear that it would crush any remaining spirit left in the Aussie team.
