Penalties

A penalty of -1 point can be applied to a competitor, if the competitor fails to row an average of 7Km over a 7 day period. In addition for every consecutive 7 day period thereafter in which the competitor does not achieve the 7Km minimum the penalty applied will be increased. For example a 21 day consecutive period would incur -6 points (-1 for 1st week, -2 for 2nd week, -3 for the 3rd week). Penalties are only applied to each non-overlapping 7 day period. For example day 8 of a "slack" period does not incur an additional penalty.

It is left to opponents to raise the call for applying a penalties. The penalty can only be applied if the infringement is raised before the end first day of the month after the month in which it occurred in.
