Yesterday saw a stunning performance by Team England in the 2Km race to see them stroll to victory over the Aussie team, in what is their least favourite race distance. In fact earlier in the month the English team where already setting their sights on the longer distances, expecting the Aussie team to take out the 2Km race with one of their typical do or die efforts. However it looks like the Aussie team failed to turn up, finishing some 16.8 seconds behind (approx 80 meters),as Team England broke the 7:00 minute barrier for the first time this year. The Aussies where left searching for excuses and are now wondering where their next points will come from.

The team are taking Monday off, and will resume training for the 6Km event tomorrow. Having already posted a sub 2:00/500 for 6Km, confidence is high.
