Aussies smash 6k 25 minute barrier
With the next event being a 6k race, to be held at the end of the month, the Aussie team has switched training focus. In order to have a benchmark from which to improve, the team rowed their first 6k distance this morning.
Being the first 6k row for the year, a realistic 25 minute goal was set. Not only did the team manage to go under this mark, but also found it a trivial exercise to go under 24 minutes as well. A steady 2min/500 pace was started and maintained for the duration, resulting in a comfortable 23:47.4.
